about me
Software Engineer | Independant Science Researcher | Student Athlete
Joseph “JD” Berzolla is a Software Engineer and innovator studying at Rochester Institute of Technology. With a strong foundation built on professional projects and 14 AP and collegelevel STEM courses throughout High School, JD has demonstrated excellence in research, leadership, and problem solving. His work on anticollision algorithms for autonomous vehicles, inspired by personal loss, reflects a drive to apply technology to realworld safety challenges.
JD brings leadership and teamwork into every setting. He mentors youth as an Associate Ice Hockey Coach where he designs training programs, leads strategy, and fosters confidence and discipline. As a varsity hockey player, he contributed to championship seasons in 2022 and 2023. Professionally he has experience in both project coordination and highvolume operations: previously as a Junior Project Manager at Inspired Interiors LLC and as a Fulfillment Center Associate at Amazon, where he works in a fastpaced sub sameday environment focused on adaptability, accuracy, and speed under demanding conditions.
Across academics, athletics, and work JD is guided by resilience, adaptability, and purpose. Whether developing solutions in robotics, web development and design, and programming, managing complex workflows, or helping young athletes grow, he approaches every endeavor with creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to making a meaningful impact.
